What’s in the box this week?

DINNER ON THE FARM THIS SATURDAY!  We so hope you can make it.  RSVP now if you haven’t already.

Standard Shares include:

Calliope Eggplant The most beautiful baby eggplant you ever did saw.  Crisp, dense flesh fries up beautifully.  Sautee cubes or cut into slices and bake with generous amounts of olive oil.  Can store on your counter if you're going to use within a day or two.  Otherwise, keep in your crisper.

Lemon Cucumbers Looks like lemon, tastes like a cucumber.  Slice it up and toss in a tomato and cucumber salad with a simple vinaigrette.  All cucumbers are highly perishable so store in your crisper and use within 2-3 days.

Sweet Corn Our first sweet corn crop had some difficulty germinating in the cooler weather (if you can remember that).  It’s still tasty!  Slice the kernels off the cob and pan fry them until brown with onions and zucchini.  Toss in cubed tomatoes and garlic at the end.  Yum!
